I miscarried a month tomorrow, yet I'm having period pains?

I was told I wouldn't be having one for at least 6 weeks.

I can't even have a break from my period after a miscarriage!

I luckily didn't have to have a dnc maybe that's affected it?

I bled for over a week but have had nothing in the past two/three weeks. I'm expecting something to happen soon because I only get these pains when I'm due on.

There was me hoping for a break lol

Have sex every couple of days, something to do with giving the sperm time or whatever - and you don't want to knacker your man out so he's just firing blanks :p

Oh God, I don't want to bleed for that long

I'm really sorry for your loss :(

I wouldn't worry too much. Hormones will be all over the place which makes things go a bit haywire for a while. If you're not sure call your GP or go have a chat with the practice nurse.

Hope you feel better soon. :)

    Like Daynna I had a period 2-3 weeks after my miscarriage but I too had a D & C.

I don't think there is a 'standard' time to get your first period after, I know quite a few people who have miscarried and the time has varied greatly with or without a D & C. Hormones all going their own way I guess! :)

Hope your pain goes away soon

Thank you both x from what everyone has described this seems to be the norm, if my pain gets any worse or I get blood clots etc. I'll go see my doctor :)
