So someone told me her back is too dark for a purebred seal point. But I have papers and all, and everything clearly states she’s a purebred. I am concerned if something is not right? Anyone got ideas?

She's cute and has blue eyes :-D

She looks like a traditional Siamese type to me but I am not a Siamese expert!

The colouring and whole appearance looks absolutely fine in my book. You've got a fantastic cat.
Far more beautiful in my eyes than the "modern show" version of Siamese.

My childhood cat was also a seal point, FAR darker than yours. Her back isn't that dark at all.
He was an incredible character who lived with me nearly 20 years, from when I was a little kid til after graduation etc.
Fantastically smart, ballsey, affectionate. The perfect cat. I dream about him even today. Infact when cloning is perfected, I want to bring him back!
Or his clone (whichever it is :- / ).

A cat without full Siamese blood could look full Siamese, so thats a different story. I don't know what your papers look like. Paperwork too is a different story. My other favourite cat had duff papers (he wasn't expensive). But wow, he was absolutely incredible in every way.

Back to your Siamese, he looks like a beautiful traditional/classic Siamesey! So I think big congratulations to you!

If you have her paperwork why are you doubting that she is Siamese? She is dark, yes, but some seal points are darker than others.

As Lynn said, if she's registered then you've nothing to worry about :) I apologise for making you worried, it wasn't my intention. Her age would make a difference if she's older, and she may just be a darker Meezer

Some Siamese get very dark, very young. A friend has one who looks almost black in places, he has a very short fine coat which might be part of it. I am told that they used to be much less shady but one that went very dark was used a lot as a stud and he is getting the blame.

She’s gorgeous! She looks like an Apple head Traditional Siamese? The seal point I had years ago was darker than your girl. And she had a good pedigree.

    Looks very pretty.
Do you know what her parents looked like, were they darker as well?
She looks not untypical to me. Maybe as there are more lighter color points about these days, your friend thought she looked unusual.

Parsnip is a pedigree Siamese although a very different type to the beautiful Cosmo also pictured. Parsnip is a big sturdy cat and as you can see he’s quite dark.

I didn't reply before because I don't know for sure if he was pedigree, but I knew a lovely Siamese-type cat a few years ago who went a lovely dark colour over his back. I'll try to see if I have any photos of him.

Found one! It is not a very good quality photo sadly and you can't see his back very well from this angle, but I don't seem to have many of him that were not taken in pitch darkness. I will just note that it is much harder to make out how dark his back was when the rest of the photo is dingy grey.
