I weighed Sky yesterday and she's just over 3 stone. She's a week off from 8 months and while she is still slim and sleek, she's very content and doesn't whine for food.

You can feel her ribs but not see them.

And for anyone who doesn't know she's a GSD :)

Thanks guys, I'm always worried she weighs too little

I have a springer 11 months and she is very slim, well a bit thin i think but when you look at her frame she is small so maybe in proportion, but i always look at other dogs comparing. She is our first girl dog the boys seemed so chunky in comparison.

The GSDs I had as a child were boys so they were much bigger boned. Sky seems to look in proportion to her body but I'm not so sure

I think they vary so much, i have only ever owned male gsd's so not really a good person to compare! I think if she is fit, well and has a good covering you can't go wrong.

Logan weighs 23kg and is 17weeks old but then he is a very chunky boy so like i said i am not sure on the girls?!

She looks fine in your photos! :D:)

the average weight for an adult female gsd is 4.2 to 5 stone plus or minus depending on the dog :)

She still has growing to do so as long she acts and looks healthy u shouldnt worry to much :)

Sky is 3 stone (19kg) that sounds okay to me I think
She's very happy and content but I don't want her to look too skinny lol!

Yes, I've just been reading up on it and a healthy weight for a fully grown gsd is 22-32kg, she's 19 now so I'm obviously worrying about nothing lol!

She carries no weight anywhere though but she's so heavy! :D
