My little cat came charging up the garde path this morning, into the lounge, backed up into a corner and urinated against the wall. All very quickly. This is something I`ve never seen her do before. She seemed in pretty high spirits this morning (which she often is after using the garden). She saw me indoors, came bombing up the garden into the house, then squirted against the wall and dashed off again, out the back door. I hope this is a one off but just in case, I`ve put her litter tray just outside the back door for future use. I`ll get another one to go indoors.

This might be revenge for me putting the Advantage on her last night, She hates it! lol

It is nice to have a problem cat though, I`ve been feeling left out!

Squirting against the wall is scent-marking behaviour, so I doubt it had anything to do with you putting Advantage on her. More likely she had just had a stand-off in the garden with a strange cat, and was rushing indoors to protect her own territory.

I am afraid a litter tray outside the back door in unlikely to resolve it as cats do not scent-mark in their litter trays, just wee in them normally.

Hopefully it won't happen again anyway.:)

I`ve been very dozy and confused the two! Thanks for clarifying that. I was actually joking about the Advantage! ;) Now you mention it, next doors cat was about this morning, I saw him. She still seems to be her usual happy self! I`m not really bothered tbh.

I`m being really thick here, scent sprayed on walls etc, is urine isnt it? The same as goes in the litter tray? So whats the difference? The manner in which it is left?
