im getting a puppy, but how to decide? xx

    heya, i am getting a puppy before everyone goes back to school. i have £300 to spend.... which breed. give me your sugestions. it has to be small no bigger than a cocker spanial. thanks guys.:eek:

    Okay, it will help you to go through a few questions about your lifestyle and your intentions for the pup. From answering questions like this, you'll be able to narrow it down to breeds which will suit your lifestyle best:

    what sort of lifestyle will you be giving your puppy? Active or calm?
    How much work do you want to put in with maintinence of the coat?
    Do you intend on starting agility or obedience or any other activity with your pup?
    Is there a certain type of dog you like? (e.g terrier, toy, gundog)
    will the puppy be around children?

    Oh, and just out of interest - will you be buying from a breeder or rescuing? Rescues are fantastic and you can quite often come across pups in rescue ;)

    i think breeder because i have been to rescuing centers and i cant find any pups.

    calm lifestyle, around older children. no obedience trials or anything.

    Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Whippet, pug. Quite a few of the toy breeds would suit you but I don't know much about them.

    Go on the KC website they have a list of breeders and litters you can contact.
