I was thinking about the types of jobs that people have wanted to do but is unlikely . The ideal career that I would love to do but I know wont happen is a Criminal Profiler, that would be my dream job- so what would yours be?

For me, it's to be a pathologist! Or as they are now called....Anatomical Pathology Technicians......geez that's a mouthful!

I've ALWAYS wanted to do it, since I was a little girl, but I'd have to go through Uni and become a doctor first and then deviate into that. :(

I've had it suggested I should be an assistant to the above roll, but you think I can find any vacancy for said positions? Nooooooooooooo.....all require experience. :(

for something like that i would suggest assistants role could be a very good starting place. as for experience, it might be worth a thought (if at all possible for you of course) to find somewhere that you would like to work & contact them about some voluntary work which might be an advantage. i find that fascinating too ;)

Ooooh good thread, I was just thinking the same thing as I was doing my ironing :)

I always wanted to be a doctor, unfortunately I was very ill on and off during GCSEs/A levels and I didn't get the science grades needed :cryin: so had to change plans :(

Where to start lol.. Like yourself, the most unlikely to ever happen would be Criminal Profiler/Forensic Scientist (as you can tell I watch too much Criminal Minds/CSI :p ).. Then the list could go on!

Paramedic and RSPCA Inspector are a few others.

The only thing I enjoy doing is something I can't see myself making a living out of, baking..

I always wanted to go into the Army, but couldn't because of health. My dream job now would be firefighter but again health (and poor fitness) wouldn't allow. I had the oppitunity to do the training for a prison officer at Dartmore Prison a few years ago and regret not doing it now. Although mabey one day. :)

Lots and lots of jobs spark my interest
    - Prison Officer/ Prison Service in general- The fitness aspect of it, well I would have to get 10x more fit first!

    - Teacher

    - Psychiatrist

    - Dog Walker/ Sitter etc

Loads more that I cannot think of right now!

I always wanted to be a dog handler in the Armed Forces when I was a kid.

Now I'd like to have a plant nursery, some free range chickens and goats :)
