I had my smear test this morning. They used the new plastic brush thing, which was a lot better than that cold metal thing. It didnt hurt at all

I have to wait a month for the results tho

Last time i had it done, i only waited a week for the results

I had my very overdue smear done in november.. called me back for coloscopy in feb and still waiting on the results of that... think i'd better get a move on and find out. No news is good news though eh :D

Waited 7 years between my first one at 20 which was not a pleasant experience at all.. but now im trying to get pregnant the GP said i'd got to go for one or theres no point checking my fertility levels.

Well done you for going though

Oopps I don't know if my letter ever came as I didn't change the address of my GP before we left. I don't know where I stand now as i'm not in the UK.

It was my second one. I'm not 25 until June tho. I asked for my first one at the end of last year. The whole thing about Jade Goody scared me

They really need to lower the age!! I'm in Wales and I had my letter last year just before I turned 20.

I had my 1st one done at 20 before England changed it to 25. I think they should have stayed at 20.

I think they should lower the age as well, i think 20 is a perfectly good age for something like that

Well done for going and getting it done, the new items are better aren't they, a couple seconds of being uncomfortable and embarassed it all worth it. I have tried to get my daughters to go and they have had children but they wont go for fear of pain. I have explained that there is NO pain at all. I think it is one of the most important things a woman should do.

Now I think it should be lowered to 18 years old, as there are ALOT of younger mother out thier now, some having kids at age 16.
