If you haven't got one yet (you would be crazy not to!) I highly recommend this pedestal fan Buy Challenge 5 Blade Pedestal Fan with Remote. at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for . it's just shy of £60, but trust me, not only is it excellent because it has a remote, but when it's on "blazing hot summer weather ... what blazing hot weather?" is what you will say.

I have mine on setting 1 and I am as cool as a cucumber. If I had one of my older £14.99 jobbies on, it would feel just like warm air circulating right now. It has 4 speed settings, and also some other funky stuff. A timer, 4 different oscillation types (including one that goes up down and around all in one), thermometer and 4 different modes which you can select to make the breeze feel different. One of which is like a summer breeze, gentle one second and then little stronger gusts in between.

If you want one I wouldn't hesitate, as last year when we got ours it was the last one in any of the store near us. and they are selling fast already this year. My mum got hers 2 months ago to make sure she had one before they sold out

No more cheapo oscillating fans that you can't even feel working on full speed when temperatures get past 24oC for me :D

Oooh, I need a new fan. I only have 3! Plus its supposed to get to 25 here this weekend. Sounds like pure misery..:(
Just tell me whats the appeal?
You sweat in the heat, burn in the sun and you cant even enjoy the views coz you are squinting or wearing sunglasses (which usually make you look like a knobhead).

Im extra sulky coz I live on the side of a huge hill and have no places with shade or water to walk the dogs near me..:(Plus today I saw a huge fat man with a pregnancy belly and moobs WITH HIS SHIRT OFF!!!
    Summer sucks...
