hey all i have a question to ask. i have a maine coon cross with very long fur however he hates to be brushed. he was fine for a little while but now he goes out he's sudenly become very aware that he has to be brushed.

is there any tips on brushing a cat that will not keep still long enough??

i'm scared that he might end up with knots in his fur and they will hurt him.

you could try one of them grooming mits for cats, that way it would just be like your stroking him :)

Have you tried distracting him with a toy while doing it?

Yeah he's a raggie :D Luckily he loves being brushed so I don't have much bother with him. Having to do it every day right now he's moulting so much!
