Any sites that would tell me why my dog has stopped drinking.
Has anyone any ideas or links?
He hasn't any injuries or mouth problems and he isn't a nervous dog

i assume you have been to the vet rona. other than that i aint got a clue.
been trying to think why i wouldnt drink water and cant come up with any clues that way either.

has he exhibited any other weird behaviour traits or is just the water problem?

i did think hydrophobia for a second or two but that is almost impossible over here. so i discounted it straight away.

hope you find the answer hun pretty quick.

Thanks, he's only just stopped drinking in the last maybe 3 weeks, when I thought about it, he has been gradually getting worse. Being ill myself for a couple of weeks, I missed the signs and feel so guilty.
He's got no problems with water, he goes to hydrotherapy once a week and loves it ;)
Been to the vet twice now.

Could it be he does not like the bowl the water is in ? dogs do strange things for strange reasons :D i changed my dogs bowl and he would not eat his food out of it,

Sorry not that either, he travels around with me and has several different bowls throughout the day. He has always drunk perfectly well until now :(
He has even stopped drinking from cattle troughs when we are out

    Is he eating like normal?

Yep, everything normal except the drinking and panting after exercise.
I think the panting though is just because of dehydration
He doesn't have trouble after hydro

Sorry - I can't think of anything

Are you sure he's not drinking from puddles with all this rain we've had with out you looking?

Wet food has quite a high water content, so that would go some way to giving him his water during the day.

Have you tried mixing extra water into his food to up his water intake?
