seen two of them when i was living in Italy, a shepherd had tried them (with aspiration to become a breeder, if i remember correctly) but he thought they were useless at working with livestock. but that was loooong time ago and might not have depended on the dogs... don;t much more, to be honest, i like them loads though!

There was one in our agility class Marley. He was a sweetheart and so smart it was scary. Him jumping was just fantastic all those dreadlocks flying everywhere I'll see if I have any pics of him.

Aside from ones at dog shows, we had 2 sets of friends, each of whom had one. These were not your "textbook" Pulik. It helped greatly that the owners were well suited to the breed! Each was very calm indoors, quite bright, and deeply attached to their owners. They were not shy, but not particularly interested in meeting new people.

Breeders with whom I've spoken verify the usual things you read about them ... very sturdy, very agile, very athletic, very energetic, very inquisitive, very willful, very high prey drive, very intelligent, very demanding. It's a small dog which does nothing in a very small way. This is not a dog for the average home. But seeing those dreadlocks flying around when they're running is like poetry in motion.

Yes, there's one nearish to me, I see it occasionally. The family also have a Komondor so they certainly love their corded dogs!

Both their coats are cut in a straight line at knee height to try to prevent them getting too dirty :)

very strange to feel but i'd love one - and their coats aren't actually that difficult to look after :)

Someone I know used to run a black puli at agility - I think it's registered name was something like mop on springs!
