Hi guys, maybe a silly question but bare with me.

Our puppy is due for his final injections on Saturday, but my other half is worried about a bad flu that she has being passed onto him.

I don't think we can pass our illnesses onto dogs, but maybe you can confirm?

    Thanks
    James.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along soon ( @Ceiling Kitty can you help?) but I do know that humans can catch some illnesses from their dogs, and I believe it can happen in reverse, dogs can catch illness from humans, but as far as I'm aware it's things like tummy bugs rather then colds.

There's not many diseases that we can pass onto animals. I've had many colds and flu episodes and in the space of 5 years only ever seen my cat get ill once with a virus. Getting his final injection done is more important but the vet should check he is healthy before administering it.

The Vet on Crufts said that dogs cannot get a human cold.
