I had a hatch of Ghost Mantis earlier this year and have, so far, managed to raise about 27 of them. I had one who was lighter than the others, being more of a soft tan than a dark brown. He has since moulted into an adult (a very handsome one at that) while all his littermates are still awaiting the final transformation. He has had his adult form about 4 days now and remain the only fully adult mantis in their home.
Anyone any idea why this might be? They all hatched at the same time so I don't understand why only he has transformed.
