How many shows do you do a year? Do you do mainly champ or a bit of everything? companion, limit, open etc? :D

We haven't done that many yet, but got a few coming up :)

i do mainly champ shows now as the open shows tend to give my breed classes to a judge who hasn't a clue about my breed.might do the odd companion show if a pup needs some training lol

Usually one every weekend through the summer til about august/sept when we give the dogs a month or so off. Same through the winter with a couple of months off mid-way through.

We do a mixture of Champ and Open shows :D

We've only been to 3 open shows this year and this saturday will be our first champ show. The judges and days have not been right for us. When hound day has fallen on a sturday or sunday when I can get there the judges have not been right for my dogs and when the judges have been right its been on either a thursday or friday and I can't get time of work.

I'm still quite new to showing but have done a few open shows and have a champ show lined up and another couple of open shows for Aug. Think I'll be taking a break after that as hopefully I'll have a new puppy that will be needing my attention. :)

The rule I've set for myself is usually 1 -2 open shows a month and 2-3 champ shows a year depending on location. I'm not one of these people that will travel up and down the country for a show. My dogs are pets first and foremost so quality time close to home is paramount.
