should a 2kg bag of buiscuits last a puppy :)
and how long should it last an adult?

As we are getting a rescue dog and haven't decided on puppy or adult as of yet, just wondering how long the food should last each one so we know how much too feed?
    thanks

Depends on the size of the dog

If you look at the back of the pack it tells you how much to feed each size of dog, so you could just divide it up.
It also depends on the food because a dog will need to eat more of a low quality food than a good quality to satisfy its hunger.

It is actualy cheaper to buy 15kg bags although you really need to keep the dog on the food the resucue gives... do they not send the dogs home with some food at your local rescue?

It also depends on the quality of the food, the better the food is the longer it will last. I get 2kg bags of Orijen ( about £15 ) and it lasts my two shelties about a month, if I was feeding an inferior food I would go through it in half that time as I would need to feed them more of it.

It will depend on the age and weight of the puppy.

When you buy their food it always gives you a guide on the back. ( though some might need more or less).

The better quality food you tend to give less quantity.

My Oh went out and bought a 15kg bag of puppy food for Willow. It'll last him for months. Its a good job I have the other dogs as they will have to eat some of it:lol::lol:
