I will explain a bit more about it.

We would be out as soon as it was done with Mum doesn't even care if the house she wants is good enough/would be complete and will just rent then go on to buy. The people wanting the house don't have one to sell as they live in a house owned by their business.

No idea how fast/slow the solicitors around here are so I would just guess they are average and I don't know if these people have a mortgage arranged.

I think Mum got a survey done ages ago so I'm not sure that will be needed...Any ideas how long this type of sale might take to fully go through?

a fast sale goes through at about 8 weeks from offer to completion but i'd say anything between 8 - 12 weels if there is no chain. Sometimes it's quicker but thats down to how proactive you solicitors are when it comes to questions raised by each party.

Don't quote me but a sale can take anything from a few months to a year..

ours took 3 weeks from offer being accepted to us moving in!!!!!!!! (and we were selling our house not moving from rented or anything) but that's an exception i think. just goes to show though it can be done really quickly.
