How long do you think you should let your girl go in first stage labour before phoning the vets?

starting to panic now but think its due to me not sleeping

Kiera is fine and puppies are fine hearts beating away like steam trains.

We are almost at 14 hours from the start of her panting

If she is not pushing and in no dis-stress then there is nothing to worry about as yet!! Our bitch panted for 2weeks!!
Have her waters even broke yet?

All dogs are different, my chihuahua went from 11.15 am and had her first pup at 6.02pm. Then had 5 hours rest and then straight into next labour starting again a 11.05pm then had her last puppy at 4.15am. I phoned the vet inbetween for advice.
Give the vet a phone as it is better to be safe than sorry, he will advise you better. It is the pushing the puppy out that is a worry if they push for more than 2 half hours and the pup is not coming out then defo phone the vet. But dont worry ( I know its hard not to and I was a total wreck as it is different when it is your own pet) the vet will tell you what to do ok. Cross fingers and she have one soon, GOOD LUCK xxxxx
