To stage lymphoma? Anyone have any ideas? The vet took blood to perform a smear blood test at the lab to stage my dogs lymphoma.

Looking for certain markers in the blood per se...could be just the white cells count for lymphoma. There's various blood tests for cancer markers in humans Ca usually followed by numbers...these can be helpful to indicate if a cancer is present, if known a cancer is present then due to the number how advanced, then say after treatment the marker will be looked at again and be a judge whether treatment is being successful.

Thank you. The vet has advised against treatment as it's t cell and doesn't generally respond well to chemo. So the blood test was to specifically stage it.
