With the weather getting warmer ive started opening my windows. I want to open them fully but i live in a 2nd floor flat+dont want my cat to fallout. At the moment i can only have them open slightly to stop him. I also have a balcony door which i also want to open to make the place cooler.

My question is what can i buy/do to solve this?

Ive tried a lead on him but he hated it. Ive also tried like a mesh but its to much hassle.

Just want to know whats the best solution!

There's been a couple of threads about window screens. I've linked the most recent one, where the OP gives reviews on particular products. This might give you some idea of what you might need : http://www.petforums.co.uk/cat-chat/156515-window-screens-review.html

Also, I'm aware that another member, Taylorbaby, has made her own screens with stuff purchased from ebay. Hopefully TB will be along shortly to give you some info :)

    Thanks very much.

Ive just seen a website that specialises in screen windows/doors but there prices are way to expensive. Just after a cheap simple fix.

Am sure i'll figure something out

    Thank you.

That looks ideal. I did something similiar with this off e bay but it was a pain

2 x NEW WINDOW INSECT NETS Fly/Bug Screen Mosquito Mesh | eBay UK

I need something like the link you supplied for my lounge window and door. I couldnt do this though on my bedrooms+kitchen windows as they pivot in the middle so the bottom goes out and the top comes in.

Like i said i tried a lead on him so it'd only let him go far far but went nuts. Also didnt think it was fair to put it on him after a year of free roaming but no harm done in trying :)

    Anyway thanks for your replies
