I have a North facing bathroom windowsill & I need some hardy houseplant suggestions to make it look pretty:D
    any ideas?
Also, can anyone recommend me a convincing vegetarian mince with a firm texture for lasagne. I have tried Asda's own brand but it was mushy, watery & quite frankly, revolting!

ooh thanks, I've got a couple of those around the house & they can go in the bathroom (I might remember to water them if they're there too!)
Thought I'd add that I've had loads of houseplants over the years but I'm not that great at keeping them alive:eek:

Spider plants are so easy to keep, they love the moist air in the bathroom, you can take loads of cutting off them to make new plants too. Buzzie Lizzie comes in loads of colours too. Cactus would be nice too, dont need to worry about watering them all the time either and you can get the ones with out the spines on them.

Spider plants are easy to keep - and if you plant up their 'babies' you can have lots in no time :)

Quorn mince isn't to bad - it's the one I use when I'm cooking for my daughter, I fry it off in olive oil, garlic and herbs to infuse it with some flavour.

I use Quorn mince and would recommend it, I love the fine minced texture it has. It's a bit like a sponge so if you use herbs and olive oil it takes on the flavours and most people can't tell the difference. When making a homemade lasagne I add some vegetarian red wine too (Tesco South Africa Western Cape Red is one vegetarian option I can think of). I've tried some of the supermarket own brands of soya mince and always go back to Quorn. Their meatballs are delicious too :D

arrgh @ Shibby, I haven't checked to see if the wine I use for cooking is vegetarian!

I'm notorious for killing off all known houseplant species, including cacti:eek:
my spiderplants are alive but sad looking & the one I thought I'd killed seems to be resurrecting itself
