We went to the kennels for a visit today, there are some lovely dogs in.

There is one boy in particular who had me in tears. He is a lovely GSD and is absolutely terrified and is so stressed out being in kennels. He has lived in a home for several years but the owners have returned as they don't have time for him . It took a lot of persuasion to even get him to come out of the kennel but he eventually gave in and came for a cuddle :crying:. I am desperate to get this boy out of kennels:(.

    His name is Brogan -

Max and Harry are also looking for a home as there owner has been given 3 months to live leaving them without a home:(. They are two older boys, about 10 but they are full of beans still. They are brothers and have always been together so the owner would like them to stay together. They are not up for rehoming yet as the kennel owner is going to take them into the hospital to see their owner one last time.

The two lovely old boys -

There is a lovely little staffy x looking for a home too. She doesn't have a name. She is super friendly and she absolutely loved Nicky.

    Here she is-

How can anyone resist that smile!

Two young energetic huskies anyone? These two are very sweet. They also don't have names.

This boy is absolutely gorgeous! He's a fawn Lurcher and is the most affectionate boy ever. Love him.

This boy is also quite stressed out in kennels too, spending most of the day chewing the bars of the kennel door:(. He's a sweet boy.

Last but not least, a crazy little terrier. Very sweet and full of beans!

If anyone can offer any of these guys a foster of forever home, please let me know:).

    Thanks for looking.

That GSD looks so sad. Are any of the breed rescues able to help? :(

The grey husky looks like a blue eyed version of Broder. :(

I will contact a few and see if they can help, good idea. :)
    I know, gorgeous isn't she.

Sadly not, the staff are the people who live there and they already have 7 dogs between them. :(

    Me too!

He seems so withdrawn it really is heart breaking. Im going to go up and take him out this week. Surely if I parade him about long enough someone will fall in love with him!

Oh if only I could help, poor Brogan :(

Can't believe the beautiful staffy x and fawn lurcher haven't found homes quickly, they are both very cute and very happy looking.

Brogan is no longer looking for a home. The kennels have just been in touch. He has had a fit and died this afternoon. I cant believe it, I was only there this morning. :crying:

    So Sad, poor Brogan.
    Run free dear boy x

The two cavalier brothers story made me tear up, at least they have each other though.
Hope all the dogs in your post find lovely forever homes soon.

Poor Brogan. :( It makes me so sad that his last days were spent in there being so upset.

The little lurcher and the huskies are absolutely gorgeous, maybe the huskies would be better at a breed rescue if they are young?

The two Huskies would definitely be better going to a breed shelter

    Home Page

    S.H.A.R.E Rescue

Or possibly my sofa .... I wish :(

I believe all the husky rescues are closed at the moment due to having waiting lists of 20+ dogs. One rescue I follow is regularly receiving 10 calls a day about dogs that don't have a rescue space. :(

Aww. I know its awful. They didn't, handed over his leads without a second thought. Kennel staff think they returned him because they knew he was ill.
