We have just had 6 weeks in Europe, a little over 3 weeks in Germany in the Moselle, the Rhine and the Romantischestraße, then into Alsace, the Dordogne, the Loire and home via Normandy. So here are some photos - thanks for looking.

Wow that looks and sounds amazing! Glad you all had a great time.

Do you drive everywhere? We’ve thought about taking Teds traveling as he has a passport but, having never done it, we’re not sure how easy it is!

Yes, we have a motorhome. At the moment the pet travel scheme is very straightforward. The dog needs to be vaccinated against rabies before you go. Then before returning to the UK, you see a vet to give a worming tablet and sign the passport. You can't travel before 24 hours but must be back on UK soil before 120 hours. Just before boarding (we use the tunnel) you take the dog, the passport and your travel documents to a pet area. You scan your pet, hand them back the scanner, and they check the documentation. It takes 5 minutes.

He is totally thrilled to be home though!

    Gorgeous photos!

I'd love to travel like that one day, but I'm afraid of getting lost. :Bag :Bag

Thank you that’s great! When we took Teds for his first booster the vet asked if we wanted to keep him up to date with rabies (as he had to have that tocome over to us) but we said no as the vet said, if we decided to travel, we can just get it done before we go.

It does sound straight forward (for now....) would be nice to go!

That’s what I’d be scared of too haha

The sat nav has probably saved my marriage a few times. But in a motorhome if you get lost, you just end up in a different place!

Lovely photos and brings back memories of holidays in France and eating strawberry tarts in Avignon

My son's sat nav was quite old and got us totally lost trying to find our way through Budapest. That was a few years ago though and this year my Graddaughter managed to navigate us round the city using "my map" on her mobile!

Great pics! What a wonderful length of time to be away and really sample another country properly!
