Took Megan for her x-rays today and she has hip dysplacia.

Vet said surgery wouldn't help and she is to stay on Metacam for next month and we then have to take her back.

Any one got a dog that suffers with this as this is all new to us.

Pretty gutted - she used to be such an active dog but I guess her days of running around are over. She's only 4 bless her. Very sad day today :(

My Max has it. He got diagnoised at 2.

I let him decide if he feel like running around or not and to be honest most of the time he is running about with the rest of them.

He sometimes seems to stiffen up, especially if he has been sittling for a long time but he will walk it off and for really bad times he has Metacam.

Honestly all is not over for Megan, she can still lead a full and active life.

Feel free to pm me if there is anything else you want to know :)
