My lab collie cross has a very high prey drive. She constantly tries to charge and go after wildlife and acts completely crazy around deer and pheasants especially (yelping, lunging on her lead, not paying any attention to me, almost pulling me over to get to things). We can't let her off her lead currently as we absolutely know she wouldn't come back if she went running after something. I know it is natural for a dog to want to chase and catch but does anyone have advice on how to minimise her urge to do so and how we can prevent her from acting up in the event of seeing wildlife. Thanks !
