My gosh my cat is nearly 10, she is on various things for allergies. Took her to follow up today at a charity vet to have him say everything OK and up the steroids etc.... Got her home went to buy her a new shiny collar as I can't treat her.... This is when all hell broke lose got home to find she had been v wounded in one short hour... Took her to my private vets and now can't stop crying. I thought it was all sorted now I'm giving her anticeptic solution for her wounded face. It's never happened before. Wonder if it's bcaus she was in for 5 days b4 appointment. So v sad today, feel v worried, also worried said neighbours cat will injure her again. Any chat would be nice need a distraction from worrying.

How is your cat feeling today? For what it's worth your post is very difficult to read. Using text speak in a forum is not good practice. Type your words out so we can understand what you are trying to tell us, you might get a better response. I still can't really tell what the problem is, after reading your post a number of times.

Perhaps if you give a better explanation we can help?

Oh I was distressed whilst typing it. The post was totally illiterate.

It's complicated to type as I ended up at two different vets in one day on Friday.

It was a nightmare day. I took her to the vets for a followup for skin allergies, she was given the all clear as she seemed OK but he upped her steroids up to 5mg daily from 2.5mg every other day, anyway I brought her home from the vet, she then after having her plastic cone taken off rubbed sore patches all over her skin, they were red and bleeding, I thought my cat had been attacked at this point but more has happene, so I took her to a private vet, after I just had her home an hour from the first vet.The second vet confirmed she might of been attacked.

Anyway onto the update, So update from today she not been attacked she's losing fur all over her face, its red and scaly and sore, I've brought her back from the vets today (so 3 times in one week) and she's on penacilin now and anticeptic liquid, now has her cone back on but not because of allergies the vet thinks it's bacterial skin issue. I'm just feeling alone with it as it looks so sore and she's losing more I'm v worried, one good thing is it's not ringworm, as I Googled it last night and got myself into even more of a state... Anyway I just wanted to talk about it, see if anyone might of had anything similar as apart from her on-going allergies this is the first awful thing she's had. Her face is a mess. I just want my furbaby well again.

I thought I would try and explain as you clearly went to the trouble to try and deceifer my post. It's complicated to type. Hope this is clearer, thankyou

Well it all sounds very scary and traumatic for you both. I've just realized you posted this in Introductions instead of the cat health forum which may be why no one has seen it, so I've asked a moderator to move it. Perhaps someone will have some ideas for you, if it is more visible.

It does sound like you are doing al you can for her at this point. I too would have thought allergic reaction. Have you made any changes recently? New litter? Laundry detergent, cleaning fluids?

You'd better keep her inside now.

Thankyou, she's inside with a cone on, I wouldn't want her out in this weather anyway, it's awful isn't it.

She has on-going allergies the problem with her skin/face is bacterial and separate. She's sees a skin specialist a week tomorrow. So I think I'm doing all I can
