    Good evening everyone.

We are a family of five.
My children have been asking for the last 19 years(thats how old my oldest is) for a doggie. My response has always been that i was working plus the garden was not big enough.

We have finally got to the stage where we have now moved to a house in a semi-rural location with a good (100 foot) size garden and I now only work a few hours a week, even then my husband will be home anyway.

So we are starting on our road to finding our doggie for life.

We have agreed on a breed we are going for a lab. We have also agreed that we will not go to a breeder instead we want to rehome one.

So we have registered with Lab resue and been to our local rspca.

We would rather the dog be around a year and not a puppy. Colour or sex is unimportant, we have been advised that a bitch would be better by our vet. We already have a kitten so we need to make sure our new addition is happy to live with her.
We will take out pet insurance and all jabs needed will be done, plus visits to the groomer when needed.

So what am I missing and can anyone else advise where else we can look. We live in West kent.

    Dawn
