Hi, I have 2 gorgeous 7 month old pups who all the family love:D But I wonder if anyone can help, we were told when we bought them that they were Parson Russell Terriers and that Bertie was 3 days older although he has always been much, much bigger than Maggie May. From the photos (not the best, I will be adding more) can anyone confirm that they are Parsons??
We love them unconditionally but wondered why they look so different.
    Thanks.

The white one, Looks like a jack russell to me, but can't be sure! I am sure that someone will be along who will be along shortly who knows more than me!
Welcome to the forum, they are lovely dogs!

Hi, welcome to the forum, i hope you enjoy it on here.:)
Maggie may does look like a parsons , she is very simular to my parsons, Bertie looks more like a Patterdale terrier.
The parsons grow to 11 to 15 inches , and the patterdale grow to approx 12 inches. a few more pics with them standing up would make them easier to identify.
    Su :)

  4. To me they both look like jack russel terriers. A short smooth coat and a wire hair. Are parsons another name for a JRT like German sheps are sometimes called Alsations?
    Welcome to the forum. Beckie

No, the Parsons are larger than the jrt (who are only the average of 11inches)
and the parsons are KC registered and the jrt are not.
The parsons are white with some black or brown , or can be tricoloured.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for the lovely welcome, someone else mentioned Bertie looked like a Patterdale but he is too big, perhaps a Parsons x Patterdale. Nevermind they are stunning and Maggie recently won Champion Overall Dog in a Fun Dog after winning Cutest Puppy and Puppy the Judge would most like to take home (Bertie was 2nd in that class). We were sooooo proud as there were over 100 dogs entered!!!! My daughter Daisy hasn't stopped smiling as she took her in. xx
