    Hi,

I am Neel. I live in Cambridge and I am looking for someone who has a pet rat or mice.

Apparently, I would like to own either of them and I am not sure which one to go for. I have visited my nearest Pets At Home store with a request to allow me to spend some time with the small pets in the cage to get myself familiar with them, however as they are young at this stage, the staff fears that handling of the animals could cause discomfort to them and they could also bite as a result.

Since I do not know anyone in my circle who has a pet rat or mice, I would like to ask the forum members that if you are living in Cambridge and own a pet rat or mice, would you be willing to allow me to spend some time with your pet at your convenient time? From you as an owner, I would like to learn about the pet, getting an opportunity to handle them if you are happy with that, how do you feel having them, and such.

In return, I can pay for your time and kind gesture.

Before owning the pet, I feel the need to spend some time with them to get myself familiarise and the process I believe is quite important for me as a new pet owner.

Thank you for taking the time to read the post.

Hi @Engel98, many thanks for posting a message. Yes, if you have links or personal experience then I would love to know. My ultimate goal is to spend time with the pet if someone is willing. I understand from the owner's perspective that allowing a stranger to spend time with the pet is a risk, however, I can assure that I will only be in contact with the pet if allowed otherwise I am happy to see the pet in the owner's hands.
