Thanks @Sled dog hotel he is an enormous miss not just to me and the OH but the other dogs too.. especially Blade. He's been gone almost two weeks and I still keep thinking I see him or hear him.

It does take some getting used to Ellen. Because until now I have always had multiple dogs for years and years, people used to say to me things like at least you have the others when I lost one, they don't understand that each one is special in their own way, and doesn't matter how many others you have, you still feel the loss and miss them terribly x

Yes I would often say they were all my favourite for different reasons. I especially missed him last Saturday morning when I usually got up a little bit later and we cuddled on the sofa watching TV for a couple of hours. Although the rest of the dogs give cuddles too there is a difference having a little dog to curl up on your lap. I keep picking up 5 food bowls , 5 treats from the jar, 5 harnesses down of the hooks.

Not alone there. I think many here know that emptyness even when you have other dogs. Even "replacing" a lost dog you don't really replace them.

I still do the same sort of things from time to time, and when a siren or car alarm goes off I instantly still think that will set her off singing, which is upsetting when there is silence now. They do become such a big part of our lives and daily routine, its so hard when they go.

Ellen, so sorry I've missed this. And so sorry for your loss.

    RIP Taz.
