We've just moved to Hemel and wondered if anyone knew any good places to go? And if maybe people wanted to meet up?

Im in MK45 so prol 1/2 hour away. I would definately recommend the Chilterns Dunstable way or Barton Le Clay if you fancy a short drive. Lovely walk in V+Barton down church road. You go in a circle, up the hills around the top and doen to BArton Spring where dog can refresh before walking back. Plenty of routes from one village to another to :)

Not to sure on truely local Hemel locations though.

Aha, lol, just saw this after the few pms!! You can see from my siggy, we have Rolo who has been with us since 9 1/2 weeks and is now 8 1/2 months and more recently Ruby who was 9 1/2 months when we got her and will be 1 on Monday.

They came from the same breeder and share the same dad.

If you drive, Whippendell Woods and Bricket Wood are fabulous for epic walks, rivers and no roads. :)

We often go to both ends of bunkers lane, they are nice safe off lead places.

Out towards Berkhamsted (not far from Hemel) you will find Ashridge. There are some lovely woods and fields for dogwalks.

And a pub in Potten End (again not far from Hemel) called Martins Pond allows you to take dogs in. They do lovely meals, although they do like you to sit in a certain area in the bar area if you are eating and have your dogs with you which is fair enough. The landlady makes you really welcome and loves dogs.

It's really nice to be able to take dogs for a lovely walk in beautiful area and then go for a meal. And the food is really lovely

    I'm late on this too!

I live between Watford and Hemel, Whippendell woods is lovely - you can walk through to Cassiobury Park (lovely river for the dogs and nice hot chocolate for their minders!!). Also Bunkers Park, Chorleywood- big common or walk to the River Chess through the C/Wood House grounds.
I expect you've already found loads of walks by now though!
