    Hi all ,
I recently adopted a fantastic little staffie ( photo's of my son Oska and Beanie on her site ) from a wonderful lady , Jan Jewell , in West Cornwall who rescues bull breed dogs and pedigree cats from around the country . She does this with the help of some very dedicated people and friends . All off her own back and does not get any monetary help from any animal charities or organisations .
The animals then live in foster homes for a while so they get a true picture of the kind of home best suited for the animals needs .

Jan has put out an appeal to ask for help to try and save the leg of a dog called Bruno .

She needs to raise the £3000.00that will enable Bruno's leg to be saved , there by ULTIMATELY SAVING HIS LIFE !!!!

This young dog is in dire need of very specialist help and ALL donations of ANY AMOUNT are very much greatly appreciated .

I thought i would post it up on here so people can read about Jans work and make an informed choice

Please visit her site below for more information on this appeal and for the different ways that you can donate .

    BRUNO APPEAL PAGE

    Many thanks

    Nancy

Can I just suggest that you contact the rescue and ask for the vets details so you can donate directly to them? Not being suspicious Sally here but for unregistered rescues it's always safer to donate directly to the vets to ensure the funds are used for the dog shown. ;)

    Hi .
I think that would be more than acceptable to Jan , the lady who rescued Bruno .
I will email her and see if she can put the details up of the surgery who will be treating Bruno .

    Thanks .

    Nancy

Hello and thank you Noushka for asking how to donate .

After the wise suggestion below i have emailed Jan to see how monies can be paid directly to Fitzpatrick Referrals for Bruno's hoped for operation .

If people still want to donate via paypal then you have to go to the paypal site and donate using the email address on the Bruno appeal page .

    Thanks again

    Nancy

Thanks. I just know a few rescues have been questioned to where and how the donations have been spent so it's just safer to send directly to the vets and it stops people getting stroppy. ;)

    Hello all .
I received this email from Jan last night so thought i would copy it to here for all to read .

Thank you Nancy. The direct payment may be able to be made to the vet eventually but at this stage I am trying to raise enough funds to have the operation done. If the funds are not forthcoming then the op won't go ahead so it is useless sending the vet money if he isn't going to do the work.
I will have a word with Noel Fitzpatrick about this. There will be a television programme being by Fitzpatrick with Bruno in it and I have film crew here next week so people can know it is genuine from that although I have no idea when it will be viewable as it is about other dogs he has helped too.
Iwill speak to Noel to see if there is something that can be done to provide some authenticity for donors but I guess the last thing they want are a load of people phoning and taking up their time so I am not certain what can be done about this point but thanks for raising it.
A list of donors will be available for donors to check.
    Thanks, Jan
