    Hi everyone!

Been a while since I've had chance to come on here as work has suddenly got busy, which is good, but trying to balance it with life too! And my laptop is broken and I prefer to browse on there.

Just thought I'd give a little update on Teds. He's doing really well and is loving my new job and all the pals he's making. I'm still careful with him interacting with other dogs (I don't let him interact with strange dogs at all, just dogs on my walks) but he has a couple of my clients who he gets on with really well. I actually have a couple of walks now where I can have him off lead for most of the walk without worrying too much. He interacts with the other dogs nicely, and will even come back from them to me in a play session. I wouldn't say his recall is at its best but it is much improved in certain places and he is very good at coming back and checking in with me every so often. I still don't trust him in any woodland though!

We've also moved up to big boys agility class :Hilarious They split our foundation class amongst the other classes so me, and a couple of others, have moved into a group that have about 6+ months more training than us! It's good because we can see what there is to aim for and the trainers split us into two to make sure we're all working at the correct level. We had our first session last week and I was pleased with Teddy as there were alot of new dogs and some of them were a bit barky but he managed to keep his head and focus on his work. We've started learning the dog walk!!!

Oh and we're going Mantrailing tomorrow!!

I will try and catch up on some posts. Hope everyone and their pooches are doing well x

Yes full time now! I actually feel like I can tell people im a professional dog walker instead of saying ‘oh well, I’ve just started up my own business and we’ll see how it goes..’
Teddy is having a fab time he is such a happy boy :)
Hope your boys are doing well! I’ve seen a couple of Loki posts - he’s growing!

Thank you! Yes he definitely is :D
I’ve only seen bits of your posts about Chip but I’m sorry to hear of his difficulties at the moment. Hope you manage to find something that works for him soon :)

    Thank you!

I literally thought I need to mention this and then completely forgot to put it in!
Yes Tilly and Teddy had a fab time searching for eggs! Glad she managed to put up with bonkers Teds too :D

Aww thank you :) it’s nice to be back! Will have to try and catch up with everyone’s stories :)

    He’s a handsome boy isn’t he (though I’m bias)

Thanks all :) He's grown into such a lovely boy, couldn't have asked for a better rescue dog (we'll ignore the squirrel hysterics for a moment!).

We went Mantrailing yesterday and it was really interesting! It was such a warm day though and the dogs had to spend quite a bit of time in their cars so I think he did really well (luckily the van doesn't have many windows so stays cooler!). It was a fun day and Teds really took to it - it was an introduction course so of course we weren't perfect but the instructor pointed out subtle indications the dogs were doing (like dismissing a direction) and it was really interesting as I never would have thought anything of it before! Teds was very enthusiastic and when he was near the person he must have had a strong scent as he pulled like a train to get to them (even when he couldn't see them). It's really about teaching us as dogs know how to use their nose anyway!
We all had to take scent articles (hats, scarves etc) and hide for each other. So the dogs would be shown the scent article and then told to 'trail' and we'd let them find the scent. The person hiding had a pot of food as a reward at the end too :) For the first one we'd also run away shouting the dog name so they sort of understood to find the person. Then after that we let the dog sniff us and the scent article and then went and hid.

I hope this will work..... some photos in a video they put together of our session (I'm in the red jeans)
