    Run awaaaaaaay

Actually, they were quite good - until I rang them to tell them my new address.

HD 'is that a house or a flat?'
    Me 'neither, its a houseboat'
HD 'we cant cover you on a houseboat because you might move it'
Me 'it doesnt have an engine, its a static houseboat, I have a permanent address with a postcode'
HD 'we are cancelling your insurance with immediate effect'

I had 2 weeks to go until the end of the policy, so now I have to decide how to answer the 'have you ever had insurance cancelled for any reason?' question every time I renew my insurance :mad2:

And they still still send me endless amounts of crap through the post and email telling me how great they are and that I should switch to them.

And they tried to charge me for the insurance ending early, they took a wedge out of my bank account - and it took a very heated phonecall (which I insisted was recorded) before they put it back

We've been with them for the last two years for our car insurance, luckily we havnt had to claim so do not know how efficient they are in dealing with a claim. Best quote for our car insurance but we will still be checking out quotes with other companies when our renewal is due.

I'm in a pickle though... I work in a casino but I am a full time student...

I tell them I work in a casino... it doubles from £700 to £1400 :O and it won't let me put leisure industry down

i was with them for a year. can't really comment on them to be honest as i didn't have to make any claims or have any contact with them. i moved companies after a year as another company gave me a cheaper quote.
