    their p60's yet? I cant remember if they come in april or may:confused:

    Also as you work for dwp when are the self assessment forms due to go out?

    Need it to hurry up so i can sort out getting off an emergency tax code!

    I think you get them with your April pay slip so it depends when you get paid. Normally 25th of the month for us but due to Easter we will get paid early :001_smile:

    I will get my P60 with my April payslip - and I had a letter yesterday telling me I needed to do my self-assessment online - they didnt send a form out

    oooo er did they give you a code for online or can you just go and put your details in?

    is the self assessment thingy for claiming overpaid tax back?

    (im new to all this tax mumbo jumbo!)

    No you have to do a self assessment if you have been self employed and yeah you can claim tax back, im doing my oh's this yr never done one before so dont know if i can just go online and enter his details or if i should have a number etc

    Lol no! It is to make sure you aren't fiddling the tax man and declaring all the income you have! I'm not self employed but have been told I have got to do one!

    Just had to go and find letter! It says you go onto HM Revenue & Customs: Home Page and under 'do it online' select 'register' - complete your details and they will send you an activation code.

    Sounds easy enough!!!! :rolleyes:
