I think I'm getting geekier as the day goes on :p
I have read the first 6 Harry Potter Books and by the time the 7th one came out I really couldn't get in to it. Although I'm not keen on the films, I want to watch them to see how they compare to the books.

However, I can't actually remember half the things that happened in the books.

So a few days ago, I decided to order a paperback set of the books, although I have the 2nd - 7th books, but most of which are hardback and some of them are really heavy. So they should be here by tomorrow.

So I was just wondering, whose read all the books?
And have you watched the films that are out so far?

What do you think is better?

And do you think I'm a geek? :p Lol.

I think the books are better than the films, the films were missing loads from the actual books :)

Same here I've read all the books they are way better than the films as the films have to cut a lot of the story out or they would be about 5 hrs long:eek:ut:

Yeah I like the books too.
I just wanna know what happens in the last book, but I feel I need to read them all again so that I can get in to it.
I remember when buying the last one, there was people stood there looking at the last few pages trying to find out the ending.

I have read the books and loved them, the films miss out so much but the kids enjoy them. I love reading and find books better than films anyway.

Ahh cool, I haven't really been interested in twilight.

Is the Harry Potter film that's out now, the 5th or 6th? Lol, I've been getting really confused.

But anyway, the one before this latest one, was it just me or was the special effects really really rubbish. (if you can remember it)

Yeah definately, I love reading too.
I always get a book or a few for Christmas and I read them all withing 4 days lol.
I always read the Harry Potter books quickly, apart from the last one.

So I'm making it a mission to read all of them right after the other lol.

    It's the 6th one :)

The fifth book was my least favourite one, simply because of all the angst going on (which was necessay but drove me mad). I didn't really notice the affects in the film :p

  13. Read them all and love them

Watched the films and love them, but the books are far better than the films.

I'm off on saturday to watch the latest film :D

I have seen the films but will not read the books until the films are out, that way I can't swear at the tv when I notice bits missed/not happened. If I read a book thats turned into film rarely see it because of the bits missed/added.

    Another Harry Potter fan here.

I've lost count of the number of times I've re-read the books.

I refused to watch any of the movies until I had read the first three books. I like the movies but of course the books are much better.

I used to be a member of a group called Harry Potter for Grownups. It was a lot of fun discussing what might happen while waiting for the next book to come out.

I would like to know more about the background of Harry's family and the childhood of Sirius, Lupin and Snape. Perhaps JKR could write a collection of short stories that would give us more detail. I've often wondered how the Dursleys coped when they went into hiding in the Wizard world. That would make a very entertaining short story.
