OMG, bought myself a hand warmer for walking the dog, as hands have suffered from cold the last couple of winters (old age :().

If you haven't got one.................they are ever so cheap ;)

Is that the type you put in a microwave or the type that’s rechargeable?

I keep stocks of them and the bigger ones for aches and pains for really cold weather ;)

I have a battery charged heated knitted gilet too that I gave MIL for Xmas the other year which she didn’t like.

They’ll all come in handy too for alfresco dining when Lockdown ends ;)

It gets really cold here in Hungary and in winter the daytime temperature can be as low a -10C.

This year I invested in thermal vests, tights and socks (for my snow boots) from Heat Holders. I'm really pleased with them especially the socks as they keep my feet toasty warm. I had gloves and bobble hats already so didn't need to order those.

Heated socks? Could do with those, my feet get really cold very easily, always have done nothing to do with recent events.

Just looked at them, they have to either be plugged in or have a battery pack. Quite expensive and I can't see them lasting long in Wellies

Have you tried socks with bamboo in them? I was given a pair last Christmas and my feet look much better when wearing those. (My feet go an odd colour when cold and they don't when wearing the bamboo socks)

Neoprene socks? I have some for Kayaking, a bit thick to wear in my boots but I could try a thinner pair :D

They are Dexshell ones and I can wear them in my boots. I love them as they make my feet feel nice and warm as well as being comfortable.

This made me laugh, you would not be able to go for a very long walk if your feet were plugged in.

Yes, I love bamboo socks! They're much warmer than the same design in cotton. Now that they're less niche though, you do get some bamboo socks with a high cotton content still labelled as bamboo due to having some in there, so it's worth peering at the composition labels.
