Sorry not cat related but had to share my joy with you all as my friends.

When I was 6 years old in 1975 with my first pocket money I had earned by doing a few jobs for my wonderful Grandfather, who taught me all about gardening, I went to Woolworths and purchased a yellow Rose for my grandfather for his birthday June 6th. We named this rose Emarry his name being Henry me Emma. This rose flourished, totally took over the garden wall a real talking point.

When he passed away I took a cutting of this rose for my first home, again it took beautifully. Then moved again and again every time I took a cutting for my new home leaving Emarry everywhere I have lived.

Now my current home my cutting didn't take, I was so distraught, convinced it was because it was because
we were in English soil ( :Smuggrin joke )

So last year when I went back to Wales for a visit, I went to my Grandparents home preying the rose would still be with the new owners, yes it was still delightful and they kindly allowed me a cutting.
In it went in a little pot and replanted when stronger, last year only a few roses appeared, not a full bloom, so added Epsom salts to the soil and plenty of banana skins, no chemicals ever.
This morning I have my first full flower! I'm so chuffed, as if my grandfather is now guiding me with this garden.
    :)

    Here's a few photos
