Does anyone have this Gundog Training Vest or else recommend any others.

I particularly like this one as it looks more like a conventional waistcoat than some other gundog vests. I need to be able to carry 2 or 3 small dummies and am unsure whether this one has the capacity.

    I like!

I clicked on the link and whilst waiting for it read your post and thought - whats the dog going to do - pick the dummy up and put it in it's jacket  I didn't read the title properly!

I used to attach dummies to my trouser beltloops with a Karibiner, cannot be fagged to wear a waistcoat.

Seems an awful lot of money for what's basically a fishing vest. I just carry my dummies in an old game bag.

It seems to me that if you label something in a 'specialist' fashion you can charge what you like, Canon sell a photographers waistcoat that is, like the training waistcoat, no more than a fishing vest but because it carries the Canon logo it becomes a 'Photographers jacket' and costs the Earth. All a bit daft methinks..

I'm beginning to feel silly for thinking of getting a special gundog vest.:blushing: It sounds like it's not really 'the thing to do'.:blushing:
It's just that I went to Gundog training today and it was quite warm in the sunshine but I had to keep my coat on in order to hold my dummies, treats etc.

You go for it if you like. I was perfectly ok with my backpack for my dummies but wanted to look the part - Pink backpack, wellies and a purple coat doesn't really fit the look  So I opted for a camo game bag, but kept everything else :p

Dont feel silly, we can all fall into that trap, I'm sure I've been equally as guilty of it myself.

It's a bit like all those cyclists all wearing Lycra :yikes:

Some of the sights I've seen :nonod::nonod:

Why do they think they have to be aerodynamic for a Sunday toodle round the road?

Lycra - Because it stops the chaffing!

Hmm, go for it if you like it btu sods law means the weather will never be quite right for it, too many layers not enough etc, a bag gives you somewhere to store them too.
