    Hiya to all.

My greyhound Maddi is 7 years old, I discovered a lump on her tail, quite close to the base. It's about the size of a 5 pence piece. Does anyone have any clues what it might be?

    Thanks in advance
    Hayley

It could just be a sebaceous type cyst but best to see a vet. They often aspirate with a needle to see whats in there to check if likely to be anything sinister that needs further investigation.

I wouldn't panic, but have it checked next time you're at the vet.

Looks very similar to why my last dog had

The vet told us for years it was 'trauma' it got bigger and eventually burst, he was very ill and they eventually said it was an ingrown hair ...
