So sad ... such a cruel race :cryin:
I hate it. Poor horses, I hope they're ok
I think 2 have died ...
I dont like watching it but have to so I can make sure all the horses get round ok ... cant stop crying :cryin:
I agree too. I have never put a bet on a horse or any animal to race as I don't like the way they are treated. Many get injured and some die all in the name of sport
Oh really? That is so sad. But I'm not surprised.
Really? I remember watching it as a child and feeling so upset but more confused as to why people weren't as upset as me. The heat in Liverpool today is too much, they should have had it in the morning (preferably not at all!).
i hate it. Having owned a race house and how she was trained etc its not nice when they are on grass adn start huffing and opening their airways ready for racing.
I dont watch it either i try to forget when its on.
I will not watch it because of horses dying and getting injured what a waste of life...all for a bl****y race for money:glare:
Finally the BBC have recognised the two poor beautiful horses ... RIP you beauties ... run free with no fear now
How anyone can enjoy this race is beyond me
I've just seen that I could cry. May they rest in peace xxx
I hope they all enjoy their 'winnings'
which horses died?
Run free in gorgeous lush fields you gorgeous Stallions! I watches to ensure they all get up and carry on running bugger the jockeys! Xx
This is the first year I've ever watched The Grand National and those poor horses, seeing water being thrown over them at the end cause they are completely dehydrated, it just must be awful. I knew the minute I saw one horse fall that it would be getting back up. It's a shame that 2 have died.
I'm sure that at a time when moneys a little short betting might be a clever idea, though knowing that that money came from horses being run till completely dehydrated and even at risk of dying. I just could accept it.
Dooneys Gate broken his back at Becher's and Ornais broke his neck two fences earlier.
The winner was stuggling at the end as well.
So so sad. Run free now, no more pressure.
Such a waste - and for the greed of people
Poor things. Sleep well beautiful babies, rest in peace.
I couldn't ever watch a horse of my own be forced to do something for my pleasure and 'winnings'. Obscene, rest in peace!
Rest in Peace Ornais and Dooneys Gate xxx
How one can rejoice in winning money when two horses have died in front of their eyes is beyond me. I wish they would stop this cruel race. So much for this: Jjockeys mustn
The winner almost lost it's life it was so completely dehydrated/exhausted The only death should be the death of this race.
Wierd how the BBC wont show Crufts as its "cruel" but they continue to support this awful event ... defies belief really
No suprised the way those jockeys were whipping the crap out of them should be disgusted with themselves!
