I'm quite relieved at mine! (Teacher, not kid!) I had a big accident and was away for three months and my results aren't bad at all! Poor kids, I did ensure they were given one of the full time teachers as opposed to supply, remote control in charge from hospital! The ones who want to do A Level got the grades they need to carry on so I'm very chuffed!

Now comes the tedious part of analysing results of individuals and units in huge depth. I've been up since 5, couldn't sleep, this is the bit where the summer holiday effectively ends!

I wish you were my Daughters teacher:)

She took half of her GCSEs a year early and ended up with a D in R.E because the teacher went off sick and they had a constant supply of relief teachers who did no work with them and no mock exams etc.

I rang up to speak to the head teacher before the exam and he just said the school is short of teachers so the students have to make the best of a bad job. (this is a brand new supposed "super school")

Just glad it wasn't Maths or English,Ive told C to keep her R.E result off of her C.V as it isn't exactly relevant when looking for a job.

Good Luck with your post results work.:)

I knew I'd be off ages so it made sense. I'm just happy for the kids. It shows that they (mostly!) carried on putting in the work without me whipping them on!

My partners son got his today, although he's actually away with his father at the moment. All I know is from a text saying he got 'fantastic results' so I guess that's good :D

I'm sadly of the old school brigade who feels it was a lot harder in our days as it wasn't partly modular based with various attempts before you got your final grade!!!

Congratulations to all who got the grades they wanted and don't stress too much to those who didn't :)

my daughter got hers today. she was petrified as she needed a grade c in english to get on a health and social level 3 course. she has dyslexia and up until earlier this year had no help whatsoever with it. finally she got awarded extra time to sit her exams and a scribe. she was over the moon to find that she passed all her exams, some with distinctions but the main one, her english, she got a grade 'A'. she is absolutely beaming with pride, and so am i:thumbup::thumbup:
