Is there anyone in Glasgow (or surrounding areas) who fancies meeting up for a walk or group walk?

I don't have enough doggy friends for Dino round here! Most dogs are intimidated by his size. (He can be boisterous as he's only 9.5 months but most dogs snap at him when he's only standing next to them trying to sniff their bum! He never runs into dogs, always greets first)

Would be nice for him to have some well socialised dogs to play with

im a glasgow gal. not sure my 3 are the best playmates though!!

skye doesnt really mingle with other dogs, she keeps her distance and plays by herself! shes quite a sensitive girl.

kody can be a wee booger sometimes. he has a habit of grabbing tails  and is very noisy. other than that, hes awrite haha. (doesnt get offlead though)

kizzi iv only had a couple months so dunno how she is really yet (and is now on rest after being spayed). shes always very keen to meet other dogs and people though. she plays well with my other two, but kinda likes boxing them a bit haha.

shes a boston terrier. a wee titchy one too! hehe. though shes a big dog in a tiny body personality wise.

i would quite happily bring skye along to meet dino, but she might not "play" with him per say. she does play chase with some dogs though :)

she met PoisonGirls dave when they were both a bit younger and she liked him :)

skye is complicated. haha. sometimes she gets nervous and other times shes a looney. even with people.

she has had a snap at dogs before, but really i didnt blame her as they came bounding up to her right in her face and wouldnt leave her alone. so she just gave warning snaps to tell them off.

on the other hand though, there has been a handful of times where she has ran up to other dogs (much to my surprise) to say hello. but she quickly runs off again.
she is a fantastic natured dog, just sometimes she takes a bit of time to warm up :)

Well we could walk them on lead for a while until she gets used to Dino if you liked. I will bring a ball on a rope to distract him as well (he's not guardy - he likes to tease dogs by holding the ball near them and then running off lol )

well if u want to meet up then let me know. :) PM me :)

If you're organising a big meet in Glasgow at a weekend I'd be interested in coming along :). Mia might be a bit too much for nervy dogs though.

It's actually not that long if you drive (1.5hours - I spend longer than that getting across Glasgow in rush hour by bus lol) but you'd probably be better waiting for the next Scottish meet. We've done Fife and Edinburgh, next is South of Scotland I think.

PoisonGirl lives in Dumfries although she doesn't drive, her dogs are great.

If you didn't mind the 1.5 hour detour each way the next time you're in Scotland though, Dino would love to meet Ern :p

Sorry i didn't see this, was writing my post which went on the next page.

I'm just trying to get number for people who live in Glasgow (if there are enough people I will let you know). Though if you reckon you could squeeze Dino in the back of your car for a short journey I'd be more than happy to meet you at Edinburgh train station. Dino only takes up one seat :p

(Assuming you drive? You could dingy Geoff so there's enough room lol!)

Lols, I drive but my sense of direction is TERRIBLE which is why Geoff does most of the driving outside of Edinburgh. Would be cool to meet you some weekend though for a walk, I could easily pick you up from the station and drive us somewhere. Mooface should be fine in the back seat with Dino if they can have a sniff outside the car first. She is used to being bungled in the back with my parent's dog (and usually me too!).

Did we? Think that was when we went to the Pentlands before the PF Pentlands meet.
