getting hold of boxes..........

    ........to move house....its a nightmare!! hardly anywhere will save you boxes now! and you go to the supermarket and they dont have any?? dont have any? what do they do with them?? lol
    im gonna be carrying everything in carrier bags at this rate! lol

    Im sure Argos sell home moving packs of boxes, as do lots of peeps on ebay.
    I know its not ideal having to pay for them, but better than carrieir bags, greener too.

    if you was near my work place id get you loads as i work the delivery.
    i got all my house moved in boxes from the co-op lol

    moving is expensive enough without buying boxes lol, and i wont be using carrier bags, i was joking, i know i will find boxes somewhere :)

    awww man! lol ah well, im gonna ask all the local little shops see what i can get :)

    When we moved a couple of years ago we ended up buying some from Argos - not cheap but I don't think I would of managed with out, the boxes were really strong and they came with a giant roll of bubble wrap:)

    the little shop will prob be your best option as they just put them in a small cage out back where as places like spasda and tesco put them in the crusher

    oh and 1 good bit of advice is to place a wanted add on freecycle for boxes, my friend did this and got loads of boxes.

    i know how stressful moving is as its only 7 months since i moved, 5 days before xmas lol

    If you ask at the customer service desk in tesco, they will let you know when there is a delivery. We were lucky there had just been one, and there was a huge crate of crisp boxes still waiting so we just filed the back of the car up! Lol

    try any friut and veg shops.....they have big sturdy boxes....banana and apple boxes are ideal for moving things in......:)

    if ya have a small local pet shop (nott a chain store, a small local one)

    they usualy save boxes :D

    people we know moved their stuff in heavy duty dustbin liners pmsl

    I work in a boxes/packaging company....we do house moving packs but are a bit pricey they come with tape and bubblewrap though which is good - look on Home | Greenwoods Stock Boxes :D

    i didnt think of that! i know someone who works nights at tesco too. :D

    good thinking batman :)

    we have a local pet shop just around the corner! i will give them a go!
    and bin liners!! :eek: i would cry! lol

    We got them from Tescos just asked when they had a delivery and came out with loads of boxes for free.
