I've seen it done on many forums where people can put if they are male or female, I think it would be a great idea as I know form experience you never know if they are male or female and sometimes you even forget :scared:

just a suggestion but thought it'd be a good idea

Or we could just call everyone 'it' or 'she/he'. :p

Why do you feel the need to know?

It is quite nice to know as it all seems oblivious!! I suppose its not a necessity but its always nice to know who you are talking to!! xx

it, they, their, [insert username here]

*doesn't get why gender NEEDS to be stated*

plus what if people dont really want people knowing, or have different sex/gender identifications?

I think it woul be useful thing, sometimes a user may get a little offended at being called the wrong gender!
But then if you really didnt want anyone to know your gender you wouldnt have to state it.
Would be cool if there was the wee gender symbol next to the username hehe, or a wee pink or blue blob.

    My point exactly.

I don't know why people would want to hide thier gender  and making this suggestion you guys are making out like i'm some pervert or something for thinking it would be a nice idea rather than getting confussed over who is male and who is female.

I know a few people have called me a guy and i've seen it happen to others.

I think its a good idea also, as up untill a post yesturday i was convinced a popular member was male and not actually a female, not that it matters either way but its handy to know
