Had a great time in the forest taking snaps

It was quite funny at times as I'm laid in the wet grass trying to stop 3 curious dogs trampling what I'm trying to get a picture of all the time I'm trying to avoid the copious amounts of horse poo everywhere

These were found in the open areas of the forest

These were found amongst the trees

Great shots!

We have fly agaric in our garden which springs up oct/nov time. Always paranoid that Horace will take a fancy for some so I'm always out on patrol ripping it up which is a shame as I've always looked forward to it's arrival.

Oh those are fabulous. Well done. I can't believe what a great variety you have. The best place that I go for a fungal foray has only a fifth of what you have found.

Most of these were less than an inch across/high so only small

Not as much as there normally is due to it being even too wet for the fungi!!
Plus they is areal issue with commercial pickers raiding the forest for the edible mushrooms this year

I see them all the time but end up paying over the odds in the shops
I wouldn't have a clue which ones are safe to eat

But I enjoy finding them - it's like when I was a Kid going on an easter egg hunt
