    hi people, im looking into buying a registered springer pup & on some of the ads i have seen it says FTCH, it might sound like a daft question but what does FTCH mean? :confused:

    you will also see FTW which is field trial winner, can i ask are you wanting to actually work the dog. We have springers K.C rg FTCH and FTW but we dont work ours.

    Dont want to confuse when i said they were ftch and ftw i meant in the pedigree on the papers.

    no show them as in the breed show ring, i have a springer already which i show & he does well so i am looking into getting another one or two to start seriously showing.
    i just saw FTCH & wondered what it means :smilewinkgrin:

    Ye the show springers are calmer arnt they, bet they are lovely, good luck with the showing.

    ha the one i have isnt,he is as mad as a hatter,i have to take him to a show 2-3 hours early so we can walk him round to get rid of his energy!!lol :D

    Ours are working dogs from champ lines

    Working springers look nothing like show ones and would be no good for what you want
