    Hello, I've just registered.
I've lost my three cats within the last year due to their ages, the oldest was a rescue, so laid back he was almost horizontal the other two were Burmese I had them from kittens, one female and one male, 'sir' was very snooty and madam was the sweetest little thing, always on my shoulder, I miss them so much.
I've been looking for a rescue female Burmese that I can adopt, either I'm looking in the wrong places or there are none that need a 'retirement home'
    Any advice would be welcome:):)

How sad, losing all 3 cats together ! I know how heartbreaking it is losing them one at a time,so sympathies.
Have you looked at Cat's protection league , that's where we got one of ours from ? Or your local RSPCA branch ?
You could try Burmese breed clubs , not sure if they have breed specific rescues like dogs.
Are the Burmese the cats that like water ? I always wanted one of those, or a Maine Coon.
I hope you find one, good luck.

You could try here - http://www.burmesecatclub.com/rehoming.shtml

Hi, thanks for your reply, I have looked on the Burmese cat club site and there are 2 girls there that I think I will ring them about.
I've found Burmese are the ones I understand the best, they seem to understand me too!!..lol

A very warm welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear about your 3 Burmese ... But 'safely gathered in'. You'll meet them again some day.

Hope you manage to find some new ones to love and be loved by ...

The big water lovers are Turkish Vans and one of those is a must have Cats 101: Turkish Van : Video : Animal Planet

Problem is these cats have been known to be stolen from the area in Turkey where they originate, so please if you get one do check its history and pedigree carefully.
