    Hi there

We have a 5 year old Frenchie and in the last few months, we’ve noticed she’s started drooling when out and about on walks. We thought it was because she was being over exercised but she’s doing it now on short walks. Has anyone else experienced this with their French Bulldog? We’ve been to two vets now who have suggested an operation to open up her airways/remove excess tissue in her throat. We obviously don’t want to operate if we can avoid it. Breathing seems the same as it’s always been. Thanks

French bulldogs will all have some degree of BOAS so it's likely that an operation will improve her quality of life.

Vets typically dont suggest surgeries for no reason.
Breathing the same as it's always been doesnt necessarily mean breathing is good.
Definitely consider the surgery, especially as suggested by multiple vets :)
