    Ladies,

    Just a little update.

Freddy hasn’t been well. His cat flu came back :,-( in a nutshell, I took bird face to the vet today and the outcome is, if he doesn’t improve overnight then I need to make the worst decision of my life and decide whether to let him go to sleep :,-(

Please pray for us that he miraculously responds xxx

Cat flu is treatable, we had the FCV version at the rehoming centre a couple of Christmas's ago and those cats that had caught it were cured - although it did take a little time.

Lots of good PF vibes on their way for Freddy.

I am hoping and praying for your Freddy. I'm new here but recently had to make that painful decision. Maybe the member above has a good idea..a second opinion. I do know the nerves, exhaustion and all when this happens and you don't know what or where to go. No matter what, Freddy knows you love him.

I had a cat with cat flu when I was very young (we ate talking about 40 years ago now) way before the age of vaccinations and medical support for cats.

We nursed her at home through 2 awful bouts of it - doing the same sort of thing you do for humans - keeping warm, keeping fluids up, trying to get them to eat. Giving them an incentive to carry on.

Kitty came through both though it was very much touch and go.

I pray little Freddy pulls through and that the vets give him everything they’ve got!! He’s in the best place to get the treatment he needs.

Hoping Freddie pulls through Claire and I know it’s know a secondary infection. Just look after your self and spend time with Freddie. I am praying for you both.

Keeping everything crossed that this isn't the worst case scenario for Freddy. I really do hope that more can be done for him. Cat flu can linger and can lie dormant but I do believe with lots of tlc it is treatable.

Oh goodness :( I really hope he gets through this & you don’t have to be making any decisions. Like the others have said I thought this was something that could be treated.
