Well, the title pretty much explains it all but I'm currently looking after a Miniature Schnauzer. She's roughly 3-4 yrs old, black with grey flecks and microchipped, however the details on the microchip were out of date. I'm desperately hoping to reunite her with her owner. This post is mainly to find out whether anyone from Birmingham has heard of someone losing a dog matching that description recently. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What a kind thing to do! Heartening to know that there are still such thoroughly decent people about.

I would also contact your local PCSO and the RSPCA, obviously someone will be worried sick and it's a reasonable bet they will have contacted one or both of those to see if anyone has reported finding the dog.

I've spoken to the warden and he has my details on file, I've also taken her to the nearby vets in the area to see whether or not she was registered with one of them, so far nothing but they've all left messages so all I've got to do is wait and see. Hopefully someone will turn up soon!
